LAX Customs & Immigration- Mobile Passport Experience

You may now launch Mobile Passport, the official application authorized by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

Internet browsing is not possible from this Wi-Fi network. After you clear this CBP area, you may reconnect to the LAX Free Wi-Fi network to browse the Internet.

Instructions:

Step 1

If you do not have Mobile Passport on your device, you may download the application by clicking one of the icons below.

Step 2

Once you have downloaded the application, click GET STARTED.

Step 3

Select your way of entering the U.S.A.

Click on the icon (you just arrived via a flight).

Step 4

Add passport(s) of passport holder(s) by using the scan passport option or manually entering your passport information in the fields. Enter your passport information as it appears on your valid, official passport. You can add passports for your entire family. Your information will be encrypted and shared only with CBP.

Step 5

Create a profile(s).

Enter your information as it appears on your valid, official passport. You can add profiles for your entire family. Your information will be encrypted and shared only with CBP.

Step 6

Answer a few brief questions.

Answer CBP’s four brief questions about your trip. Then carefully review ALL of your information for the trip.

Step 7

Click to submit your form to CBP and show your receipt with your passport to the CBP agent when requested. Remember: When you submit, you are confirming under penalty of law that your information is correct. Within a few seconds, you will receive a CBP receipt with an encrypted barcode. Your receipt is valid for 4 hours.

Step 8

(Finish): Breeze through Customs and save time! Follow the Mobile Passport Control signs to the designated Mobile Passport Control line. Show your passport to the CBP officer and scan the barcode on the CBP receipt. And that’s it!
